  Free? Website?

Anybody have a GOOD suggestion for a free website that doesn't have a ton of banner ads and popup ads?. I'm already looking into Geocities. -- Kenneth A. Drumm Ph.D. who wants a site for his creations (24 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Try Homestead... you can set it so the ad is just a small footer at the bottom of your page (not in a frame or popup window) so most people never even see it. I recomend (URL) or (URL) . Both of them do have pop-up adds but they are pretty good. Geocities is pretty good. My old site is still on there: (URL) You can go to (URL) and see what hosting site is good. I also think that (URL) has a list of all (...) Wow, Thank you all for your suggestions. I am *leaning* toward Geocities its small ad and a whopping 100 megs of space! That I *think* is what stood out from all the others. -- Kenneth A. I would suggest www.f2s.com . There are NO ads of any sort, and it supports advanced PHP, PERL, and MySQL. I've used them for awhile now, and the only problem I've encountered is that they are down sometimes. (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.geek)
