   Looks to me like a plastic sheet, and the holes at each corner (and middle) fit over Technic "ball and socket" pins - look carefully on the INSIDE of it at the top, you can see the holes of a Technic beam showing through the sheet.    (...) Good eye on that one. Yes, I think it looks like a 1/4 8x8 cylinder panel in the Alpha Team base. Also in 7106, notice how the cylinder perfectly follows the curve of the bottom 8x8 round plate. I don't think a plastic sheet would be able to (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)
