I'll conceed that I'm curious as to how accurate it is - did people mostly
estimate down, or up?  I put myself in the 1-5 catagory, which is probably a
catagory too low for me, but I haven't kept track quite that exactly.

I'm also wondering (curiosity only, no one is being asked to divulge their
personal finances!) who the 17 people spending more than $25 grand are.  I
hadn't figured on there being more than about 5 or 6 in that range.


Yes, and I wonder how many of the people in the top two highest dollar
categories resell some or a large part of this to ofset the spending on the
stuff they keep.
Example: Person A buys $10K a year, but sells off $5K of that for $8K. Person
A is only out of pocket $2K for $5K worth of stuff. Person B spends $8K buying
the sets/parts person A was selling. They both report their total purchases in
the poll resulting in a total purchase of $18K, which if TLC is looking at
these polls to see how much "buying power" AFOLs have then they are getting a
skewed view.

At least, according to the latest Brickshelf poll: (URL) by the minimum value only for the ranges given, AFOL's have spent over 3/4 of a million in the last 12 months. I'll conceed that I'm curious as to how accurate it is - did people mostly (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)
