Thanks for the votes of confidence.

First off, I am me.  I just want to make sure everyone is clear on that.
(To my knowledge, I am the only extant Damraska.)

I am slowly but surely working on Minifig Suns II.  The bad news is I lost
many of the original ldraw files and ray traces from Minifig Suns when my
old laptop was destroyed.  This was an unanticipated setback (I thought I
had backed them up to another machine) and has seriously slowed my progress.
I just don't have a lot of free time.  The good news is that I have finished
ldrawing all the lost models, upgraded the rest of the old models to use
correct parts available in new ldraw releases (like the X-wing and Aurora),
and added about a dozen new items to the inventory (including some things
that make my old models look tame).  I have written copy for the history and
intelligence reports as well, though I know most people just want to see the
pretty pictures.  Also, I have a good digital camera now so I can juxtapose
photos of the actual models against the ray traces.  Unfortunately, I still
have to ray trace many, many models, which is very time consuming, and I
need to render a few more items from scratch.

I really do plan on making this happen and I'm going as fast as I can.  I
know I said that in March, but I'm (slowly) plugging away.  I had actually
planned on bringing some of my new models to the last BAYLUG meeting and
'releasing' them through that medium, but the scheduling didn't work out.
(I'm going to try again for the next meeting.  I'd really like to band with
some other space builders in the area and create a detailed 'Space'
universe.)

What happened to that LEGO space site called "Minifig Suns"? Is
it coming back? When?  It had great MOCs.

Yah, I liked it a lot.  "damraska" (1) had some great ideas; in fact I
pretty much took a whole evening to build his X-Wing fighter with landing
gear and tri-split intakes and such, it was so cool.  He also had an
impressive series of spaceships based upon the Space:1999 Eagle
configuration.  Plus, I remember a mecha called "rabbit" or something like
that, that looked good.

1.  There's a "Damraska" on LUGNET going by the (presumably real-life :-)
name of Doug Dropeskey, is this the same person?

Actually, my real life name is Damraska.  'Doug Dropeskey' just appears on
my credit cards, driver's liscense, and silly stuff like that.  If my
parents had just waited long enough to ask me, this wouldn't be an issue.

Is it still illegal if I copy just the FBI warning?

Doug (if that's your *real* name. <g> ),
Great to hear from you again.  I guess good things come to those who wait.  I
can really sympathize with you about time demands.  Ugh.  Nice to hear that
Minifig Suns will ride again.  Can't Wait!
