Things will go like this on my side till to the end. Lego is a "toy" and not a
trade(3) item for me, and will be forever, providing that I would not be a toy
seller in my future life. If that would have been the case, It could not go the
way as you presume. I'm sure they would be marketed as "not for export" or "for
use in Turkey only" so you could not sell them to the foreign countries, and I
assume you also couldn't sent too much(4) packages by marking them as
"gift"(5).

Hrmmm, while I admire your convictions on this subject, I have to
admit that I am rather pleased that my toy habit is almost
self-sufficient, given enough time.  Well, maybe not almost, but I bet
my sales and auctions have paid for at least half of what I've bought,
and on certain types of purchases, more than the full price, which
makes things kinda balance out in the end anyway.

I guess if I were charging more for the stuff I sell, and the fact
that so many people pounce on certain items so quickly leads me to
believe I could be charging more, I suppose I would start making real
"profit", but I usually shoot for everything totalling out to just
more than I paid, with enough of a cushion to make it worth my time to
spend hours in front of the screen doing sale/auction stuff instead of
playing games or watching DVD's.

Who knows, though, maybe I'll figure out a way to make it not only pay
for itself and a little free time, but also pay for everything.  I
think the Lego world could accomodate another full-time devotee or
two. :)

(...) You could have been pretty right about that, considering I'm the only Turk here, but wrong about me. I'm not a "trader" type of man. I never wanted to face the hassle of the whole thing for an additional amount(1). I had some occasions during (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)
