Have I missed something or have Lego standardised their set names.  Until

mundane names.  When did this happen?  Why did this happen?

I'm pretty sure someone will be able to help.

This year has seen LEGO standardize set names worldwide as well as the set
availability within each country. Many countries have received the first edition
of an international catalogue; the second is due July/August.
