Anyway, I was wondering if people had an idea of the best • way to repair
this (it's an old Crusader 'fig - I can't recall if it's • Lion Rampant or
Crossed Axes - so I seriously doubt CA will be able to • replace the torso
for me).  Should I try to split the torso completely in • half and reglue,
or just try to work the glue into the crack as best I can? • Also, what
sort of glue would work best?

I'm not too sure which glue would work best but I can tell
you how to apply it.  Whatever you get needs to be a liquid.
Get a small paintbrush (small enough to fit into the bottom
of the torso) and dip it into the glue.  Pinch the two
halves of the torso together and use the brush to apply the
glue from the INSIDE of the torso.  As a liquid, the glue
will flow into the crack.  At this point you can continue to
apply pressure to the torso with your hand or put it into
some type of clamp.  I'd let it set for a day or so before
trying to reassemble it.

Be aware that removing the arms at a later time will almost
certainly split the seam again.

Hope that helps,
Will

I discovered the other day that one of my older minifigs has some damage. This isn't really surprising - I think we're all used to the microfractures they get along the forearm - but this one goes from the waist to the armpit, right along the 'seam' (...)
