And think of us poor Europeans (or all non-Americans, for that
matter). What would we have to do to get a LEGO outlet _on_ _the_
_same_ _continent_? I mean, okay, wow, Legoland Billund and Windsor
are here, but it's not like they sell stuff cheap. Regular store
prices are even way above regular American prices, and the kind of
sales on Lego that you seem to have over there are completely unheard
of here.

Let's see, how long did the U.S. have to wait to get a Legoland? 30 years,
give or take...
How long did Europe have one (or two)?  A long time with one, a while with
2.
How many of the cool 12v trains did we get over here?  Like, none!
Oh my, you get promotional sets over there from Shell?  Yeah, like our
McDonalds sets hold a candle to those.
Stores around there have sets that are 10+ years old sometimes  (I know - I
found a 41 year old set in Switzerland last summer).  Try to find that in
the US.
Mexico and Canada are on the same continent as the US, so we will leave them
out of the comparison.
Australia had BULK ORDERING until just recently.  Thank god they didn't tell
us about it!
Europe had Lego before anybody else.  They also had a lot of the coolest
sets exclusively.  (Many old trains, Guarded Inn to name a few).
Asia and South America are worse off than any of us and I have not heard
them complain much.  (please don't start).
Cheap sale prices are part of the US economy.  Many Europeans don't want
Wal-Mart to come there.  Well, if you don't want Wal-Mart, Target and the
rest of those types of stores, don't expect their sales either.
