The easiest way for me to answer this would that I would certainly
consider making another clock (or any other sculpture) for a commission.
You are right, the cost would be high... not only to cover the bricks,
but just for the time involved (not to mention potential shipping or
cost of building onsite).

I would probably charge about $2000 for a LEGO grandfather clock (and
would keep all extra bricks). And that's pretty generous in my mind when
compared to what I charge for computer programming (my *real* job
[grin]).

BTW: the 'art' term has come up before, and while many apply the word,
I, personally, label my works as 'crafts' not 'pieces of art'. That's a
personal distinction based on my definitions of 'art' and 'craft'
obviously. But anyway...

(25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
