Can someone please tell me what MOC's and AFOL's are?

MOC:  My Own Creation
AFOL: Adult Fan Of LEGO

Oh and all you lucky americans shut up about the new lego.........i hate
australia enough as it is........no offense intended really, jealousy is such
a curse though........i keep hearin about the new star wars sets..*mmmm desert
skiff* and the arctic sets and it just makes me want to cry.....been thinkin
of ringing lego here in oz to see when they will be released but i just dont
want to hear the woman on the other end say "2000"

It's a pity that shipping to Australia is so costly - you could ask
an American to nab you a few sets and mail them to you to hold you
over until they come out in Australia.

(...) Really? That's what MOC means? I've always read it as "Model Of Choice." (...) Yeah. I'd be happy to do it for a premium, but alas...it would probably double the cost! -LFB (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
