This is a good argument for shutting down the Pause database here on Lugnet,
Kevin's Brickshelf site, and the other similar Lego information sites out
there. If TLC wanted old instruction scans or old set images, prices, etc.
available on the Internet to new buyers\collectors of Lego products, they would
put all of that information on their web site(s). Just because they don't do
it doesn't mean that it's wrong for one of us to do it.

I have a copy of one of the 1993 dealers catalogs. It was given to me back in
1994 or 1995. I have no idea where it came from or who obtained it for me,
other than that my grandmother delivered it (I always assumed it came from my
grandfather who is no longer alive, but she never said. I believe that he's
the only one that knew it's true origin). I'm in the process of scanning it
with the intention of uploading the scans to brickshelf. Can someone give me
reasons not to publish my (or Suz's) catalogs since they contain very outdated
information?
My favorite thing from the catalog is the page where it says "Pastel = Profit".
I guess that was the marketing strategy for the pink Paradisa and Duplo girls
sets. Oh, and we've decided that of any year to go back in time and buy Lego
sets, 1993 is IT. :)

| (...) Jeremy, with all due repect, you're missing the point. If heads of the LEGO Company wanted their retailer catalog to be publicly available, they most certainly could publish it online all by themselves. But first, I think they would distribute (...)
