Most money spent on Lego at one time (was Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes) —Mike Poindexter
(...) I actually just spent $2,000+ in one Lego purchase for the first time a couple of days ago. The closest I had come the the $2K milestone before was $1938 at Toys R Us this summer. I wonder how many other people have spent $2K plus on one (...) (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Most money spent on Lego at one time (was Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes) —Mike Stanley
(...) I think the most I've ever spent on Lego in a night was about $1300 - but that was split between two Target stores. Probably scored well over $3,000 worth of retail priced sets that night. (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Most money spent on Lego at one time (was Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes) —Gary R. Istok
(...) Wow, I must be cheap or something, because the most I've ever spent at once on LEGO was $250. (Anything more is frivolous.) But you don't want to know on what (Yellow Castles on clearance at $24.99 in 1984). I average about $200 a month. But (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) You're right.. we didn't want to know. Man. I would have loved to have had one or two extra 375s to go with my first, back then (not that I wouldn't now, of course..)(BTW, I was five then.. ;) ) Dear Lego.. how about more sets like 375/6075?
