In my view it depends. More colours is better if it means we're getting
clearly distinguishable colours that happened not to exist before -
I like the introduction of bricks in orange, tan, brown and green
that's happened over the last 4 years because those were colours that
were arguably needed.
However I don't think it's a good thing if we start getting lots of subtly
different shades of the same colour - as happened with pink and looked
like it might have started to happen with green - with a couple of sets
last year having bright green bricks (though I'm not sure if any of the
year 2000 sets have these). When that happens the main effect is it becomes
much harder to build up a big enough supply of bricks of that colour
to make anything big in that colour - especially when it's not such a common
colour in the first place.

| (...) could obtain brick parts packs of at least the more common new colors (brown, tan, dark grey, green, orange) and maybe even light blue, teal, pink and magenta. I use these new colors as accent pieces on my buildings, and with some of these (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

| I was glad to see that TLG has introducted orange in a theme/system other than Star Wars. I was disappointed when the Halloween buckets were not reintroduced this year. I only picked up three (maybe 4) buckets last year. Of course these buckets (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
