  Pause Update

Hey Todd, I just wanted to tell you that your upgrade (menubar) to Pause looks good! Just don't do it when I'm browsing! I almost had a heart attack! ;) Jeff (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

FOTW: 496 Spirit of St. Louis

Well, I found a mostly complete with box 496 Spirit of St. Louis set this weekend at a thrift store. It's now complete and I suppose I'll have to build a museum around it :) Set me back $0.27. -- Thomas Main main@appstate.edu (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  non traditional retail outlets

A few musings: I've been seeing TLG stuff in non traditional places. For instance, King Soopers has a bunch of the mini-sets (the hang glider, etc) for 2.99 each. That's not a very good price, IMHO. (...) Just check with security or store management first as you are practicing with property that is not your own. If you DO decide to practice, please post when/where, as I want to watch. :-) (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Fabuland / Richard Scarry

(...) Fabuland was great - although there was a lot of specialised pieces, as I recall. I really liked the fact that the heads could move up and down as well as left and right, although mine soon became very loose and tended to take a sideways look (...)   LDLITE is this week's CLSotW pick

[crossposted to lugnet.cad/lugnet.general; followups set to lugnet.cad] Paul Gyugyi's LDLITE is this week's Cool LEGO Site of the Week pick: (URL) encourage anyone and everyone who runs Windows to get LDLITE -- especially if you already have LDraw.   Fabuland / Richard Scarry

In the latest batch of images from Selçuk, there were quite a few new Fabuland images... I couldn't help feeling sadly nostalgic as each of these found its way into the DB last night. It's too bad Fabuland was cancelled, although it did run for (...) (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 1999 Sets

(...) Hrmmm, might want to try a little more honey and a little less vinegar there. :) (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)
