Re: Problems with Lugnet and Peeron

(...) XFUTting to .admin.general, seems more appropriate. (...) From your traceroutes, I can't see anything really wrong - 150ms round trip should be quite reasonable. Not sure why it's taking you so long to connect though. Especially since once (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Problems with Lugnet and Peeron

(...) My first guess would be Pair. Both Lugnet and Peeron are hosted through Pair, whereas BrickLink, BrickShelf, FBTB, and others are hosted elsewhere. It's possible that Pair is having a temporary issue with their network. To test, you might be (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

Vintage LEGO / Samsonite LEGO catalog scans

I've recently updated my vintage Lego page with some new scans. If you are interested in sets from the 1950's and 1960's you might find something useful: (URL) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

  Problems with Lugnet and Peeron

Hi all, I didn't find a better group, so I post it here: I have problems reaching www.lugnet.com and www.peeron.com. It takes a lot of time till any page begins to load. But when a page starts loading, it goes quick. My connection is fast, via 2 (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) That was my guess too. If it were Lego doing the organizing, they'd probably aim for a larger "vacation area" spot (balanced with cheap real estate of course), but considering how this looks more privately run, it's probably what they could (...)   Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) Probably the fact that the owners/curators live in the area and found a building on the cheap there. I would imagine there's a slightly smaller following for Lego than there is for football, baseball, or basketball (HoF in Springfield, MA, (...)   Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) Well, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is in Canton because one of the most dominant football franchises of the early days was the Canton Bulldogs. The baseball hall of fame has a slightly more (URL) convoluted history>. But it has history. What (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) The same reason the professional baseball and american football hall of fames are in out of the way spots? -Orion (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) That's what I was thinking also. Why would you put it in the middle of "no where" (no offense to anyone that lives in that area) but you would want it in a location that people would visit on a trip or something. I also find it strange that (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) The bid is listed as being from Bellaire, Ohio which is way down south-east on the border with West Virginia, across the river from Wheeling. An interesting and very out-of-the-way place to put a museum. I'd think that TLC would be interested (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)
