Put them together on a MOC? if they're on a flat surface, side by side, then, yes, you can see that something's slightly off. Put them together on the same MOC a (...)   Parts Colour Availability Equality
 
Whilst other threads focus on old and new colours (please keep those out of this one), there is a general issue of parts availability that I think should be addressed in the marketing strategy of the Lego company. Many of us like to buy parts in (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

Old colours * 48x48 baseplate in old lt grey * train track in old dk grey * 1x2 and 1x4 log bricks in old brown New colours * easy access in bulk to "common" parts in the new shades (and if S@H can't/won't cope, pile it high in the Pick-A-Brick and (...) (...) I agree, anything that should be made out of wood should be available in the old color. The old brown looks more like actual wood to me than the new one.
