Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) I don't really understand your thinking here. As far as I can see all the parts you list are standalone parts so you don't really get the problem of (for example) something that is supposed to be painted all one colour being mottled (doesn't (...)   Re: Enough about colors already

Yep, this got ugly in a hurry. If truth be told, I can see why TLC did the color change. Here is my theory: TLC felt that it should keep its lines fresh; TLC felt that a new vigor should be fed into the toys is made. So, it came up with several (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) Wings are, honestly, overrated. I rarely use them anymore. As for what a big time spacer like me really would like to see in new grey: plates slopes plates hinges (finger hinges would be nice. Not click hinges) plates basic bricks plates tiles (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Enough about colors already

Oddly enough, this post is already about colours...;-) Peace and colourful posts, Professor Whateverly Ps. Yes, you do make some good points. (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Announcing new Legend!

(...) SNIP (...) WOOHOO! Lately, I've been bugging my brother in SC to gather the (still together) major chunks of this set, as i wanted it for my technic scale vehicles (Technic figs fit it!) here in NH where i live now. Well, i guess I'll just (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: Update: Universal colors - beginnings

(...) Of course, at some level, its a matter of opinion, so maybe I am in the minority. However, I have heard discussion from people who seem to be a lot more interested in colors than I, that the sand colors were mixes of the base color and (...)   Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) I've seen two paths to accumulating new greys quickly: 1) Starter tubs 2) Releasing legends in the new colors Choice 2 works really well for castle. You'd get good proportions of walls and bricks to help fill them in. For space, maybe (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Enough about colors already

(...) From this I gather that you'd be just as happy if TLG switched LEGO's entire range of colors to dull brown, or perhaps pink? After all, you assert that imagination trumps color, so why bother with those pesky blues and reds and yellows? Some (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general)

  Enough about colors already

Regarding the recent color firestorm: The world does not come in exactly 256 colors. There are not just 2 colors of grey stone/metal/etc in the real world. The average child's imagination can see wood colored green, and people colored purple, and (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general) !

Re: Color Change - Final Update

(...) It's fairly obvious that TLG's goal of profit is the main motivation for the change. To use an example like your own, tell a focus-group-kid that she has five dollars to spend on a either of two sets, one of which has 10 pieces, while the (...)
