Jake, I have been quiet on the color issue since it was announced because I have been trying to determine how it would personally affect the hobby for me. It's past time to get beyond debating the "why" of the color change (and especially haranguing Jake about it). I don't see any reason not to take Jake and the TLC at their word that the new colors work better with the core market at point of sale: (...) Frank, I'm surprised you didn't mention one of the brown parts we love: Ship hulls. The primary problems with the new colors is that the new greys look like metal, not stone. Well ideally they would just go back to making everything in the original colors. I really wanted to like the new Spiderman and Harry Potter sets too. I thank you for continuing to advance this news to us. I suppose it's really not so bad, as long as LEGO colors don't bounce all over the rainbow range every few years.
