Re: The Brickfest PDX Moonbase Build Up!

As of two days ago: (URL) Definitely not much there, but I keep plugging away at it. Buildings are a completely new project for me, and coupled with a general lack of good black pieces this is turning into one of my more challenging models. But (...)   Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied

(...) Hi Jason: Best-Lock caused quite a stir (URL) it hit the fan on RTL a few years ago,> largely because of initial perceptions that the Best-Lock minifigs were so similar to LEGO. As it turned out, they were rather different, as were the bricks, (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied

(...) Err - did my post from yesterday get pulled, or just lost? I was wondering what the problem with the "Best-Lock" JCB was - I've seen them in the UK, and they don't appear to clone either a specific Lego set or recent elements. It has a lot of (...)   Lego Tattoo - an experience

Hey all, This is certainly old hat to most of you, but I recently submitted an article to another website I frequent, (URL) BMEzine.com>, about getting my tattoo (see (URL)). Here's the article for those interested: (URL) One little word: BME (Body (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied

(...) Of course it is. Getting the products pulled from HKTF doesn't mean anything if the stores still buy them from the supplier. Obviously the stores either get buyers there before TLC reps can have the items pulled, or they just play along with (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied

(...) Heehee. On the contrary, LEGO is moving closer to clone colors (cloning the clone, in essence, as LEGO did previously with the 8x8 plate). A certain LUGNETter-at-large put together an interesting examination of the color issue, which I cite (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general)

Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied

(...) (snip) A year ago I was on a 6-month assignment in Shanghai. One day I went to a big grocery store I'd never been to before, and while I was browsing the toy aisles, I saw something that astonished me: knock-off LEGO sets! It was knock-offs of (...)   Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied

(...) James has already touched on this issue, but I thought I’d add my $.02. The main problem with “The Brick” is that the company produces and sells inferior quality bricks in sets that very closely mirror the copyrighted designs of true LEGO (...)
