(...) WOW!!! I am thoroughly impressed. Welcome back, Kyle. btw, I still have the t-shirt you sold to me. (...) I should claim likewise...though I know a few people in the community that claim to have more!! (...) Anyhow, I hope all the negativity (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: New colors and other info

(...) Wow. The ruckus in here is so loud it got even *my* attention---I haven't posted on LUGNET in over 2 years! :) The more things change the more they stay the same... I always found there were a few personalities on LUGNET who were a little too (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX) !

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) Count me in, At least, LEGO should have made a POLL of some kind for their faithful and loyal consumers to vote for such a change... Yes, we might move on, but also we should not accept every thing that LEGO throw at us.. Remember, when a lot (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Poll regarding new colors

(...) Consider this your official "this poll is flawed because it doesn't have a 'this poll is flawed' choice" post. ;-) I compromised and voted anyway. Thanks for taking the time to set this up. MUCH more constructive than SOME people, I must say. (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Seriously...

  Re: New Technic beams?

(...) nope, technically they are "studless beams" if they are full-thickness and "halfbeams" if they are half-thickness Liftarms contain 1 or more cross axle holes. (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) Good point. I'll have to join Ondrew's camp, as it seems he has given this much logical thought with supporting arguments (and not went into profane rants and raves like some others (we can all figure out who the worst ones are). I have not (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New colors and other info

(...) Hey Bruce S., I didn't reallize you were also local. Is there a requirement that all AFOLs named Bruce live in Southern California? Bruce (Hietbrink, not Lowell or Schlickbernd) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: New colors and other info

Light Gray is my favorite Lego color. I can never have enough of it. The variety of parts that are currently available in Light Gray will *never* be manufactured by Lego in the new color. Eventually this will make complex construction in a uniform (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) As Ryan noted... kids may not care at all about this, much less even notice it. (...) Then how do you explain the Designer Sets? They were resoundly declared by the community as a positive shift back toward the core values of creativity. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Why I support LEGO through thick and thin.

To everyone at LUGNET and LEGO, I want to say this: I was first introduced to LEGO when I was five. My family and I were going on a long road trip and my parents bought me LEGO set #565 5+ Build-N-Store Chest to keep me occupied during the long (...)   Re: My Chosen Hobby

(...) There were many complaints about "new colors". Google searches of rec.toys.lego will easily uncover such postings. Here's a quote from Charles B. Naumann (cnaumann@HiWAAY.net) way back on 1998/06/24, "I am personally tired of all the new (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Grey is for castle walls, Grey is for Space ships, Grey is for Town Churches, 'new-Grey' is for inconsistency... Don't fool yourselves TLC, Kids WILL notice and say: "Mommy look, it doesn't match."
