Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) If something is available both at S@H and BL, I will typically get it via S@H. Mostly a matter of convenience. S@H takes my Visa. It's a secure site, and keeps my shopping cart from session to session. The 'is this seller honest/will the PO (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) Its the "magic" of Clearance. A high volume purchaser like Troy is able to afford to eat up the inventory, plus he is able to buy at the wholesale level, making it even cheaper for the brick. Heck, if you could get a ton of sets at 75% off, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) In a sense, yes. Purchasing recycled bricks (new, and used) has its advantages, but one would need to look at from TLC's eyes as well. Do you not think that services like BL are hurting Lego sales From S@H and retailers? (...) I do purchase (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) What I find so interesting about this question is that all LEGO ultimately comes from the same source: TLG itself. Now, understanding that, there are certain Bricklink sellers who buy multiple sets for the sole purpose of parting them out and (...)   Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

It has been a while since the bulk selection offered by Lego Shop@Home as been expanded beyond a new release or two. (Where are the gray tiles!?) And this got me thinking - A. Did the arrival of BrickLink create a viable alternative to bulk sales (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Looking for the author

(...) Thanks. I tried to find it again on Brickshelf, but wasnt having much luck with the search. I dont have the 2x2 with the 'windows' pattern on the side (I think they only come in the Movie Maker set), so I used regular blue 2x2 bricks for my (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

  LEGO themed tattoos?

Okay, who got 'em and what are they? Infamous Chris Magno has one: (URL) he still has to do something about that page :-) ) And here's another one: (URL) far 100% 2 x 4 bricks. Anyone done what Maggie C. thought about [1] and tattooed a minifig yet? (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: New poll: how do you handle building interiors, backsides

Bruce, Interiors are evil. Sometimes a necessary evil, but if you can't see it through a window, canopy, or orifice of some kind, I say boycott. Yeah, making something modular or hinged is cool, but in my experience irritating and too (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.general)

Super Sized 924 (Classic) Space Cruiser

Ok, all you .space folks, consider this model my tribute to the 25th anniversary of one of my favorite sets growing up. Coming in at somewhere over 10 pounds, and at over 27 inches in length is a 3-times-scale model of the LL924 Space Cruiser: (...)
