Re: LEGO compatible bungee cord source?

(...) Real bungee jumping cords are hand made by most bungee jumping firms, if you know of one near you ask them. Some clothes might use thin rubber band like the one in those sets, ask at clothe-making shops (my English is not with me today). Best (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Sorting

Hi there! When I first came out of the black cave and picked up this amazing hobby once more my collection was in the 10K size and I realized I needed sorting. I bought a few boxes used to sort screw, nuts and bolts in garages, mounted them on a (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: What a downer :-(

(...) No, probably not. I admit plenty of attention is needed to play (I don't believe I stated otherwise.) However, when people begin to grow dependent on video games for entertainment, it is common that they tend to play for long periods of time (...)   Re: 10066 on LSAH

(...) Well, I just ordered my 4th one, in addition to 14 other bulk bags, so your "bunch" is greater than my "handful", but I'm sure there are some people who buy these in the triple digit numbers. (...) You gotta use the code. If you order from the (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Sorting

Wow. You all have some great sorting systems. The beauty of this project, as I was telling Tim Courtney earlier today, is that I am in the process of gutting my basement and rebuilding it. I wanted to get a general idea before I started framing and (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.storage)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

Pedro: Your assumptions are absolutely correct. Most of Lego's plastic is a special (top secret) version of Bayer Novodur. Lego also uses a version of Lustran and, more recently, a version of Makrolon. If you spend enough time on the Bayer site they (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

(...) I don't know any of the technical specs of bricks now or then, but let me share my feelings on the subject. I know that by comparing my old childhood bricks (20 - 25 years old) to bricks I've bought in the last 5 years there is a distinct (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) D'oh! Here's the link to the thread mentioned above. Sorry about that! (URL) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Hi Alex, Here's my little story of sorting... from early in my rebuilding of a collection to now. When I first began buying bricks again as an adult, sorting wasn't really much of an issue. As soon as it became necessary, I really just started (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Best of 2002

What?! The Galidor sets are sooo sweet, PLUS they have awesome pieces... I think it's a good thing I have my address listed as confidential, otherwise I'd get mailbombs. Seriously though, I have to agree with you, Bruce, about the Blacksmith's (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
