Clubs, structure, long distance orgs (Was Re: UMLTC

John and I had a great conversation on Friday and one of the topics that came up is what exactly we would want out of a club. We agreed that too much structure can be detrimental as people get sucked up into the structure aspects instead of the (...)   Re: Story about Lego on NPR's Morning Edition

(...) That probably won't happen, because if it did, a grey market would quickly spring up. I certainly would have no qualms about making a certain Turk (1) very rich if it meant I could get sets for far less than retail with a little "smuggling". (...) (...) I'm with you on this one. With the previously noted exception of the town junior double-sloped piece for the x-wing rear landing gear, I'm very impressed with the construction and new piece selection of the SW sets. I'm going to have to buy (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

  .swf player?

Hi. I just downloaded the entire directory of (URL) now I have some .swf files that I can't seem to open locally. However, from the website, it works just fine. Do I need to install/run my trusty local webserver? Should I be getting sound, btw? (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Story about Lego on NPR's Morning Edition

(...) Maybe the way to go is pricing them considering the "purchasing power" of the individual countries. Software companies done that in turkey, and works well againist piracy. It's awful paying 10-20% more for the same lego set while earning 1/5 (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego Has updated its online Catalog!!

(...) That's exactly what came to my mind, while reading Larry's dear lego post, stating that a clueless "brainy" from TLG expresed that "juniorization" is the way to go for all sets, and TLG is happy with that. Selçuk (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)
