Probably Shockwave Flash files, and I would imagine you do need to
either view them with a browser with the plugin, possibly coming from
a server, or maybe within the Flash creator program itself, which I
doubt you have (or want to fool with downloading - it's a 30 day demo
of a fairly expensive commercial product).

| Hi. I just downloaded the entire directory of (URL) now I have some .swf files that I can't seem to open locally. However, from the website, it works just fine. Do I need to install/run my trusty local webserver? Should I be getting sound, btw? (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)
