(...) Todd, The link for page 29 is incorrect--it points to page 28. Not a big deal, it says right next to the link "nothing new". ;) Steve (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New pics from LEGOLAND

(...) Well, duh. It's a railway with a rack. Seriously. :-) More detail... these are sometimes also called "cog" railways. They are so called because in addition to the two weight bearing rails there is a central rack (linear toothed) that a powered (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Lego Design Contest?

I got thinking earlier about the feasability of a lego design contest... The internet ratracing organization has a contest where every few weeks a topic is issued and then later submissions are collected and posted. People then vote upon the (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Article on Legos, constructivism and PCS!

I just finished reading the article, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Does anyone have any other suggested reading selections? I am sure that, as mentioned here quite often, there are other papers written on the architecture of a Lego brick or the (...) (26 years ago, 8-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 1999 comments

(...) After what I considered to be a dismal 1998 lineup, my expectations for 1999 were low. However, I'm not really a Star Wars nut, but the sets look awesome! Rock Raiders looks interesting. When I saw the words "Space Port" I don't know quite (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Sets...

(...) The main SW sets will be out march/april, but the Episode one series models, of which there was a preview in the catalog, will be out july. Or at least, that's what I gathered. Jasper (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Sets...

(...) It's a bit of confusion on the part of the people who gave you those dates. The /regular/ catalog lists the SW sets as being available at the earlier date. The /direct/ catalog (i.e. Shop@Home) will not have SW until July. Hope that helps. J, (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
