Hey Starship gang!

Well, after doing some math, I realized that I have now built 30 minifig scale space vessels for Starship RPG.

Yes, a few of them were fighters and shuttles which are small craft and do not take much time to build. However, with my 30th vessel, the Cragfire, there are a fair number of those vessels that are quite large and that required a good deal of effort and time.

I am particularly proud of some of my latest vessels, such as the Altanah Ne’denah and the Cragfire as I think they show an improvement in my building skills and as they will allow a richer game play in the Starship universe.

The Cragfire, for the forseeable future, will be limited to the Cruan’atan sector as it plays a vital role in adventure number one, and will play a very big role in adventure number two.

So, what’s on the horizon for me? I have four more large vessels in the works, and several small vessels soon to be unveiled. Of the large vessels, two will be playing out their roles in my own sectors for the enrichment of the ongoing and dangerous adventures there. The other two I hope to send out into the galaxy for adventuring elsewhere.

And finally, on the horizon, for my 50th vessel I hope to break into the SHIP club. The SHIP (Seriously High Investment of Parts) club requires a vessel of 100 studs in length or better. So far my largest ship, the Altanah Ne’denah, only came in at 70 studs. My longest ship, the Cromwell, came in at 79 studs. That is a far cry from the SHIP requirements. But, with proper planning, I hope to make the 50th ship anniversary a SHIP to remember.

Without further ado, the Cragfire.

Here shortly I will be posting a link to show all 30 minifig scale vessels with a few of my thoughts on each one.

Keep gaming!!

-Avery

(...) Wow! That's awesome. It's hard to believe we've been at this long enough for one player to have designed so many vessels. But it is also gratifying that this game could inspire so much building. Great job Avery! (...) Sweet! I especially love (...) (19 years ago, 14-Oct-05, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)
