Official Transmission from Cra, capital world of the Star Republic:
As of two solar days ago, the Star Republic is in a state of war with the forces
of the Feeraas. Relations between the Feeraas, a former member race of the Star
Republic, and the other four member races broke down one standard week ago.
However, two days ago, four Onk warships were lost to a surprise attack by
Feeraas warbirds not far from the Feeraas colony of Junda.
This act can not go un-punished. Further sorties have been reported from the
borders of Feeraas space against other Star Republic forces.
Due to this, the Star Republic will not be sending an ambassador at this time to
the Galactic Summit on Cruan'atan.
Also, the Star Republic is advising caution to all travelers in the Granth
Sector. The borders remain open, and the planet of Cra remains open and secure
to trade and commerce. Most of the Granth Sector is also open at this time,
however, safety in all regions is questionable. The Star Republic will maintain
diplomatic and trade connections with all other galactic bodies. Contact with
the rebel Feeraas is forbidden by decree of the Star Republic Council.
