   Hey everyone...

I know its only September, but I think we need to get a few things taken care of. First off, While Hendo is the greatest GM possible, is he limited to a certain amount of terms? Also, is the Galactic Chief a full time non elect or does that get run for as well? Lemme know what you all think.

Excellent questions, Sean. I was thinking I would open up the floor for voting maybe in December (I think with the number of members we have that a month’s time would be sufficient.) Maybe we could even consider a Lugnet poll, which would allow for secret ballots I think, although it would also leave out a few participants who are not Lugnet members. We will have to think on that.

Anyway, to answer your questions, we had not discussed the number of terms issue. If enough people want it, we can put that to vote also. I don’t think it is needed though, and in fact could be troublesome with a group our size and if some members don’t want to run for office. If people want to discuss it, just say so.

As for the Galactic Chief, I was just having fun and trying to make public my appreciation for the help Richard has done with the webpages and registries. How that title gets used is up to Richard, I guess. Although I did like Dan’s suggestion that it be a position nominated by the GM after the GM himself is elected. Interesting idea. :)

We all will talk more on these things as the end of my term comes to an end.

There should only be one vote: for the GM. The GM then appoint all additional staff as needed, and if the players think the staff is wrong/mean/etc, an impeachment vote can be made.

There should, as I stated, only be one vote for ease of use.

Also, I can host a private vote on my site; a password protected page for all Starship players to vote for the GM. I have the codes ready and can probably make the page in a day or less. This would allow for only Starship members to vote, regardless if they have LUGNET access or not.

Still crazy...
