Like any good acolyte in the church of Briwkars, I have a three-ring binder with
all of the rules printed out, which I keep updated regularly.
It is massive.
8 pounds, and probably about 10x13". When traveling, that's a lot of real
estate to take up. When traveling minimalistically by plane, it's unthinkable.
Sooooo ... does anybody have any suggestions? I've been envisioning that there
must be some palm unit or personal data thingy that is well suited for this;
basically, it needs to be able to store and display text files, so one could
scroll through all of the rules easily, and preferably without squinting.
Ideally, it would also have a spreadsheet program of some sort, for devising and
recording new stats. Bestest of all would be a system with Word and PDF
readability.
In the optimum case, it would be so easy to use, and so convenient, that one
would want to use it not only for traveling, but actually in place of the paper
copies at Brikwars games.
And lastly, in the penultimate situation, it wouldn't break the bank or require
an engineering degree to operate. Though I do have one if necessary.
Any recommendations? Suggestions? Does anybody else find themselves antsy if
they can't refer to the rulebook for three consecutive days?
