Finally My QuikWars Pics from Ourcon!

Hi All! I finally found time and a working computer to post my pics from OurCon (April 18 & 19) during which Teddy and I converged to display our spacey models. As it was a gaming convention, we offered two impromptu sessions of QuikWars (variant of (...)   Re: Bubble Gum Crisis

Thanks Shaun, but don't be modest. Your write-up is what gives the site life. By the way, there is a cheesy easter egg hidden on one of the pages...I suspect you won't find it though. As for the game, I couldn't agree more. The "less is more" (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Bubble Gum Crisis

(...) This looks great, Joe! As with any other trend worth following, NELUG's brikwars games seem to have evolved in fits and starts. I'd consider this one to be the first of a new era of games that so far have been tremendous! After last summer's (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Bubble Gum Crisis

Boy oh boy, has the .brikwars newsgroup been silent lately. Whatever happened to the carnage? The gore? The sheer ruthlessness of thy fellow man and woman? Well, wonder no more. It's time to wipe that classic smile off your face and remember what it (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.gaming.brikwars, lugnet.org.us.nelug) !

(...) All well done. I know a guy who did the exact set of rules that you are looking for that were specifically medieval. They were for resin ships and metal minatures, but they should work for Lego (and I'll warn you that low Viking ships facing (...)   The Vikings meet Medieval Cogs

Sometime back I did 3 Viking Longboats: (URL) wanted to do some Castle, shore raiding and I have seen "The Vikings" many times and thought it would make a great BrikWars game. Recently I was watching the film again and thought about doing naval (...) (21 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.gaming.brikwars, lugnet.pirates)

  QuikWars

Haha! I was just thinking it would be cool for me to think up some simplistic PBB wargame that I might toss out if I find things are slow at next week's OurCon at UMass (where I'll have a bunch of space stuff on display). As I was getting online to (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars, FTX)
