Sounds interesting, but a little vague - maybe you should lay out some more specifics:
  1. How big are the armies? Size/CP limits?
  2. How big are the castles? Size/CP limits?
  3. What kind of castle stuff is allowed? Catapults? Siege towers?
  4. What kind of medieval stuff is allowed? Magic? Dragons? Elephants? Ninjas?

  1. Mike.

Mike, You of all people should know that pre-set CP limits are not encouraged by the author. But just in case we have guests that haven’t played with this group before:

We try to avoid specific CP limits, and prefer to do balancing at the beginning of the game. A typical SandLUG member army consists of about 10 troops, a hero and one or two specialists (Ninja, Medix, Accountant, etc.)

Castle size is roughly estimated by how much time a player spent building it since I first spread the word about the game. If we actually end up with more than 4 castles, I’ll be amazed, and we’ll agree on which 3-5 should be used.

Do Carrots of Invincibility1 count as Magic? The Teapot of Heroism2, which gained special abilities in a previous game works through a standard psychological effect of believing the Teapot has power.

Dragons, Elephants, and Ninja are all figments of Mike’s imagination. Any player who can convince Mike to concentrate on a dragon for the entire duration of the game is welcome to field one.

(1) Carrot of Invincibility- A simple carrot that a farmer named Gary McIntire dug up. Upon inspection and many tests, it has been proven that the Carrot of Invincibility is immune to harm from any attack or energy. Some physists have suggested that the carrot is the kernel of the universe, similar to the sand that creates a pearl.

(2) Teapot of Heroism- a simple ceramic teapot that became the focus of such heated fighting last October, that word spread of how the wielder managed heroic deeds in an effort to keep the teapot. The disappointment of losing this teapot has the power to strip a trooper of heroic powers, even if he was a hero before the teapot.
