  Re: Anyone going to Gencon?

(...) Jason, you still play Magic? I've been thinking of getting back into the game, as I still have my entire (inherited four times over) collection floating around in my apartment. I just picked up my first Mox, an Alpha Jet. I heard they were (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming)

(...) Captian Saucy on board The Promiscuous (...) Where to start? First was a long and ineffectual round of shelling at the Inca Island. The three Picachus dodged well. The Promiscuous then traded several "Are you gonna shoot at me?" looks with (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Anyone going to Gencon?

Gencon travellers, If we can, lets try BrikWars. Most people will have the necessary elements for most Tech levels used in the game and the space required for those elements would be considerably smaller than the pirate ships I have. I look forward (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Anyone going to Gencon?

(...) Cool, Milwaukee is my home town, I live in Cudahy, next to Bay View. I'll be there, but the sucky part is I don't have much pirate stuff, but I might be able to get some, and by the way, I'm 12! :-) Respond when you get the time! (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming)

  Anyone going to Gencon?

Hi, There were some Lego events at last years Gencon and I am wondering if anyone else is going to be in the great town of Milwaukee. Sorry no pirate events unless we do one ourselves. (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.us.il, lugnet.loc.us.wi)

Re: Request for Pirate Game thoughts and Player/Ship/Captain names

(...) I suspect it will be hard to do much in the way of two games at Brickfest, though a battle game should be manageable Friday if I can get the time off. Of course a battle game has lower GM needs, though I think a 2nd would still be helpful. (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Request for Pirate Game thoughts and Player/Ship/Captain names

(...) If we were going to play two games (one on one day, one on the next) then I would be completely happy (I mean, I'd prefer) being your second (or a first) for one of them. If not, then I guess I'd do it, but be less enthusiastic. (...) Must the (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Request for Pirate Game thoughts and Player/Ship/Captain names

(...) There are quite a number of instances of ports being sacked, though more of it was by "privateers" as a form of stealth national warfare rather than individual pirates. With the exception of a few truly spectacular prizes, sacking ports was (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.pirates)

Re: Request for Pirate Game thoughts and Player/Ship/Captain names

(...) Hmm, I have about 10 turret mounted cannons on each port which usually dissuades people from attacking it. Plus the fact that the ports generally have a number of warships at their disposal to defend with... Generally I try to make attacking (...)
