Re: Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

(...) You found everything. I haven't posted any of the actual rule set. While designing, I've been making a bunch of creations and mostly wanted to show some off. =] (...) When designing a game, there is always the dilemma of 'rule simplicity' vs. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

(...) I couldn't find any of the rules! Only two pages of cool magic info.. love those staffs though! The rules that we made up were very simple, mainly because that made it easier to remember them, as we thought of them as we went along.. but I'd (...) (25 years ago, 19-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

(...) You mean (URL)? Yeah, maybe a little link from that page to /lugnet/fun/gaming/ would make sense? Certainly as 'gaming' seems to suggest all forms of gaming, not just computer games. Richard (25 years ago, 19-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

(...) That is true, but "human" mini-figs have a maximum of 4 hits in my game rules, so one piece/hit would be fine. Just yesterday, I updated my web page that gives a sort of "sneak peek" into my game rules (I'm afraid it's a bit too long to fit (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

(...) Glad to help! But in all fairness, it was my friends idea - not mine, so I can't claim credit for it :) If you want more than just a few HP per figure, you could use different colours - black equals five red etc. Or something more intuitive, (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

(...) This is great! I have been working on a Lego wargame of my own, and one of my stumbling blocks (no pun intended) was how to keep track of hit points for figures. I had been placing my soldiers on plates to keep them in formation (and to keep (...) (25 years ago, 14-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

info on pirate game (and brickwars)

Im fairly new around here, but I have been hearing bits and pieces about a couple of games people have been playing with legos. (...) Mmmm, put me down for a set too ;-) The next Sydney AFOLs (tentatively called Studs) get together is set for 2 April, and we might have a go at a game Richard Parsons Still baldly going..... (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.pirates)

  GM Charts for Pirate Game

I'm wondering if anyone might happen to have the GM charts for Steve Jackson's Pirate Game. I asked Steve several months ago when they might show up on the web site, and he said they would be going up as soon as he could get some help with them, at (...)   Re: BrikWars

(...) Maybe it's because a vehicle is way cooler than 5 puny SpaceMen? I haven't played BrikWars, just read through the rules once or twice (mostly for the funny bits). But it seems like a legitimate approach is that the main focus is the vehicles, (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

  BrikWars

Does anyone else out there play BrikWars? I played my first game on Saturday, and enjoyed it immensely, but there are some... err, well, foibles of the system that I think could be ironed out. For example: Vehicles seem to be too inexpensive for (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Simple (but fun) Castley Strategy Game(y)

The Setup ---...--- We decided on the theme first - classic good vs evil, this worked well as it allowed me to lead an army of skeletons, zombies and timmies against smiley castle folks. As with all these games - the more space you have the better, (...) (25 years ago, 6-Feb-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Real time computer Lego war game

There's a plug-in for a game called Myth II, entitled 'Leggo My Myth'. It is based on Lego and includes Swordsmen, Crossbowmen, Wizards, Dragons, and a few more units. You can find the web page for it from the crossroads section of (URL) (when it's (...) (25 years ago, 6-Dec-99, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: wargames?

  wargames?

Todd, I know of (at least) two different wargames for use with Lego Pirates that are on the Web. Would it be appropriate for these URLs to be listed in the "Links/Resources" section of the "lugnet.fun.gaming" page? Thanks. Franklin (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.admin.general)
