  IDOL time 2004

27 Feb 04 Greetings, Earth Mortals! Yea, though the depths of digicam and computer malfunction doth yet plague me, I call out from the depths to bring witness to great joy: Betwixt Ides of March and yonder Score, It's IDOL time for us once more. How (...) (21 years ago, 27-Feb-04, to lugnet.fun.holiday, lugnet.announce, lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.us.ne.oma)

  LDraw Christmas tree scenes

Here are some Christmas tree (URL) scenes> I did a couple of years ago in Ldraw and rendered with POV-Ray. I was experimenting with transmitting light through transparent bricks, which explains the "basic" nature of the scenes. Happy Holidays! May (...)   Re: Holiday Greeting card

(...) Thanks Adrian! That's not my "serious" face, that's "my sig fig head has stubble and an eyepatch, and that will probably confuse my mom on the card, so let me upgrade to Luke Skywalker" face. I mean hey, I look movie-star good in the flesh, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Re: Holiday Greeting card

(...) Thanks Brendan! Let me say that the Brick Testament was the main inspiration behind doing the holiday scene. The star came about because my NLSO, who comissioned the work, looked at the original tree topper and said "don't you have something (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday)

  Re: Holiday Greeting card

(...) Dude, you look so serious. Smile, it's Christmas! Anyway, this is a very nifty idea. If I bothered to send christmas cards out, this would be a great idea! Well done Adrian (URL) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Re: Holiday Greeting card

Nice scene, Nick. I love your choice for the star atop the tree. You can just barely see it, but the rubber-bands-as-ribbon on the red present works great. The string of lights also a nice touch. As someone who just spent the day on his own very (...) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-03, to lugnet.fun.holiday, FTX)

  Holiday Greeting card

Here's a holiday card started last month, to be sent out this week: (URL) It was worked on in bits in pieces over a few nights, while taking breaks from other projects (both Lego & non-Lego), and finished at the behest of my art director/SO to take (...)
