Do you think there is need for one?

Oh, absolutely!  :-,

Here's a decent head-start, Derek Schin's rec.toys.lego acronym list:

http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/9639/rtlspeak.txt

Yep, got that one. But it seems some of the acronyms there were maybe used a
lot at the time, but not much anymore (e.g. when's the last time you heard
IHTICWI? According to Derek: "It's Hard To Imagine Childhood Without It;
the '95 line catalog." I've never seen this one ;-)

As I mentioned, this list is for rec.toys.lego, and has quite a few acronyms
not in common usage on LUGNET; I think it would be useful to break it up into
Lego theme acronyms, Lego chat acronyms, and Internet culture acronyms.  Note
also that you might need to get his permission to copy the relevant parts.

Do you have his e-mail?

Here's a few more acronyms:

BURP = Big Ugly Rock Piece (common usage?)
SNOT = Studs Not On Top (from Tom McDonald?)
POOP = Piece Of Other Pieces (common usage?)
SPUD = Special Purpose Ugly Design (common usage?)
TIMMY = Terribly Immature Minifig Master of Yucky (mine! :-)

Other than the SNOT and TIMMY, I know that much ;-) Thanks!
