Today I was searching for information on the various styles of Fabuland
books produced.
My first stop, as usual, to find any Fabuland related information is Sybrand
Bonsma's "The Unofficial Fabuland Homepage".

He has details on 2 types of books.

16 small paperback books and 4 larger hardback books (which are designated
as being published by Pumpkin Press on the "blighty" site reference given a
little later).

He has translated one of these small books, "Donnie Dogge" from German to

Via Google, I found a very helpful link with information on additional
Fabuland books. (I think this is the site of a fellow Lugnet person,
located in the UK, Mark ? -There was a link back to Lugnet.)

He has a treasure trove of information on the various styles of Fabuland
books published, dates of publication and titles. (thank you!)
The site also has some other Lego book information too -Space, Castle,
Pirates and Duplo.
Information quoted from his site:
"1983 Pumpkin Hardbacks (Fabuland) - This is a set of four hardback books
released by Pumpkin press in 1983. They are 15cm by 22cm and are 24 pages
long. There are four titles in the series.
Morty's New Job,
Edward's Skyscraper,
Henrys Night Out and
Catherine Cat's Birthday.
1986 Paperbacks (Fabuland)- This series consists of four small books approx.
15cm by 15cm and of 25 pages. They were published by Lego Publishing in 1986
and come under the Fabuland series 5904. There are four books in the series
and they are entitled
The Burblies,
The Birthday Present,
Edward's Butterfly,
TheTroll in the Mountain.
1986 Hardbacks (Fabuland)- This series consists of Two medium sized books
approx. 21cm by 25cm and of 33 pages. They were published by Lego Publishing
in 1986 and come under the Fabuland series 5901. There are two titles in the
series and they are entitled,
Max and Edward all at Sea and
The Missing Fireworks
1987 Ladybird hardbacks (Fabuland) - This series originally started out as a
set of two and in 1989 a further five books were added. The books are
hardback, approx 12.5cm by 17cm and 45 pages long. They were published by
Ladybird books.
Each book contains two stories except for the last in the series, the titles
are:
Lionel's Party / Edward and the camera
Edward gets the hiccups / Wilfred's treasure
Edward joins the band / Clive's kite
Lionel's Car / Edward to the rescue
Edward tries to help / Boris gets a scooter
Edward and the big balloon / A robot for Max
Christmas in Fabuland"
