To All Concerned,
I am sorry I did not respond sooner to this, I am rather busy as of late.
Having been a part of MichLUG / MichLTC since its inception over a year ago,
and being the Membership Chair of our club, I like to say that Kai has been
a model participant in almost every event and activity we have had. He has
proven himself to be a mature young man, and is quite capable of handling
himself.
Knowing the predicament of having under 18 year olds in any club, especially
with all the laws and responsibilites that are involved, I can certainly
understnad this rule that Brikfest has adopted. Wee at MichLUG have had many
discussions ourselves on this subject. We also have had a similar policy in
terms of under 18 year olds, complete with a medical release form, and
parental involvement for the first few meetings.
However, if there is anything that can be done to permit Kai to attend
Brickfest this year, I will be more than happy to assist in that process. I
will take full responsibility for Kai if that is permitted. His parents and
I have talked before, and do let Kai come to our meetings and events. I am
planning on paying my registration fee in a few minutes, and I would hope to
be able to work out an arrangement.
Please feel free to forward this message to whoever needs it, and as always,
feel free to contact me personally at ls_ses@hotmail.com if further
directions or questions are needed to be asked.
Kai, please e-mail me so we can discuss this as well.
Sincerely,
Scott Sanburn
Membership Chair, MichLUG / MichLTC

| Hello Brickfest Planners, While registering for BrickFest2002, I came across a line stating that no child under 16 will be permitted at Brickfest without the supervision of a parent/legal guardian at all times. I have to admit I can see the point in (...) (23 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
