John Kornhaus and I were dicussing this last week.
We came up with the following proposal, which is not set in stone yet:
1. At least one fairly big game, probably for more experienced players.
John's great idea for this was a "spaceship battle". Bascially this would
mean contructing a large TL5 ship and have one or maybe two people defend
it, and maybe two people attack it. The idea is to capture the ship. We
have not discussed the details of the ship design yet, but I'm sure we will
soon now. This one will require a decent amount of building beforehand.
2. Several smaller "skirmish" games, suited to people who have played maybe
once, or even not at all. These can be of any tech level, but will probably
be both "castle" TL2, or "space/fantasy" TL5 games.
These two are definates. We also had a few other ideas for games, which were:
3. A "treasure hunt" game, which woudl require a GM. This is a medium size
game where several different people try to find hidden treasure and get it
out of an area.
4. A castle siege. As you would expect, this is a great way to get castle
heads in the game. Mighty armies, catapults, boiling oil, the works.
5. A TL4 World War II or similar combat game. City fighting, most likely.
Would require lots of destructible buildings to be brought.
This is all we have for now. Obviously not all of these are going to
happen, but the big space ship boarding and the smaller skirmishes are
definately going to happen at Brickfest.

| ...The plans sound good! I was thinking about the skirmish games in particular as a great way to bring people in. I cant wait to see the big spaceship battle! That's going to be impressive (make sure we have a combat reporter there to capture all (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
