Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

(...) Very nice castle ruin settings Dave - I mostly like the peasant stealing the timber from the ruin! I could have used a close-up picture of the chickens behind the house. How come there is a giant skeleton-head-plant-thingy on Travis' pictures, (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.events)

Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

(...) Sweetness. (...) Dave, Thank you, Dan, Jennifer, and Travis for the numerous photos and sharing the unique experience. I'm so sorry your AT-AT bit the dust.   Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

Dave, that medieval layout is superb. I'd seen some of your creations in the recent BrikWars photos, but the new stuff had me in stitches. I gawked in awe at the fossilized skeletal remains of the dragon in the underground cut-away. Excellent corn (...)   Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

(...) especially the castle section with all the great jokes. I'm not sure what I found funnier - the Wolfpack guys trying to fly with the dragon wings (splat!) or the treasure hunters digging away right next to the big red X that is obviously (...)   Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

(...) Lots of nice creations, and a good job showing them off. I especially love the details and humor in the medieval layout. The underground cut-aways are superb! Brian (23 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.events)

  Lego Road Show: the Prequel

As I'm sure many of you know, Lego's planning a tour of about 20 major cities across the US this summer: (URL) in case you didn't know, they've also asked a bunch of local LUG groups to help out at these shows by showing up with their own creations (...)   Mindstorms @ Brickfest

I just noticed that the Mindstorms events have been added to the Brickfest site. The Maze and Sumo look pretty interesting. And, of course, there is pipe racing... (URL) to build... Steve (23 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.events)

  Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

(...) :) Now that is a contest! (...) That could happen as well, using the lego from/in the k8 room.. I think that it may be a good idea to challange the individual/lug prior to the fest, the actual creation can be decided (by the audience) at the (...)   Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

(...) That could be fun. (...) Jack Stone contest...? Do we see who can pull him apart fastest?! (...) So, it kind of sounds like On-the-spot building contests. (...) Ready, Set, Draw...   Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

(...) Well any and all of those! I just want to encourage some fun competition between indivudals/lugs/organizations, for example I may choose to challange you to a competition to build the best line follower robot (since thats what your good at :) (...)   Looking for Road Show volunteers

I'm looking for a few people local to the Chicago area (or in neighboring states willing to come out) to help with the LEGO Road Show display. NILTC was going to display, but unfortunately our tour dates were moved to a weekend where we had a very (...)   Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

(...) Best at building... what? I believe I could match anyone when it comes to building a LEGO robot to compete, but my design skills may fall short when it comes to building a realistic looking church, or a train that can pass for something you've (...)   Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

So we know that 13 people can build a Star Destroyer in a few hours... We have seen amazing creations come out of the minds of many... How would people feel if we held a brick-olympics of sorts. Where an individual, or a Lug/LTC would compete in a (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.events, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Badges, buttons, and the like...

(...) You could do what Kristin does with Odyssey of the Mind pins -- she's created a large wall hanging to mount them all on. :) Oops! After World Finals, we need another wall hanging! Steve (23 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.events, lugnet.people)
