Looks very interesting. I’ll probably come. The location works out very
nicely for me. I was at the 2006 Brickfest but was only able to attend about
half of it due to time constraints.
Speaking of that, is this event related to Brickfest in some way? Or more
specifically, is there also going to be a separate Brickfest around the same
place/time? I noticed that the location is exactly the same as Brickfest
2006. If there are going to be multiple conventions in the DC area, I would
probably only have time to attend one of them.

Yep, BrickFair 2008 will be the exact same location as BF’06. We looked around
and it was the best location for us. I’m happy to say The Sheraton Premiere
fixed their lighting in the main ballroom. So we won’t be feeling around in the
dark again.
I know nothing about the status of brickfest. BrickFair is not related to
brickfest, except that many of the same people are likely to be running the
show. You’ll probably recognize Theme Coordinators, etc.
BrickFair was launched in order to avoid another sad loss like 2007. The hope
is to make the DC Lego festival more dependable. BrickFair 2009 is already in
the works -- planned for the week prior to Labor Day in 2009.

| (...) ballroom. (...) Uh, well, some of that was actually kinda my fault. I was coming out from behind my table once, and one of the straps of my backpack snagged the lighting control on the wall and kinda mis-adjusted the lighting. The messing (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jan-08, to lugnet.events)
