  Re: Event name abbreviations

(...) All sounds logical to me...except that numbering scheme. I would start at 0 for 2000, just to keep it simple (see next line) (...) Technically yes, but I hate when people think like that, 'cuz it makes my brain hurt (my brain is slow and can't (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.events, FTX)

Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

(...) Basically what Chris and Dave said. But here's some other things I think are core to any group, be it Lego, needlepoint or whatever.... 1. Leadership. Summary: "Just Do It!". Like a bunch of Linux nerds chatting about how they're going to (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.events)

Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

(...) I think this is important. Lego may be a common ground, but not everyone will fit into a group. And it isn't your goal to catch everyone.   Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

(...) Well, the Aussie experience is probably different from the US, but here's mine anyway ;) We currently have a few groups of people in several major cities, who get together somewhere between "fairly regularly" and "once in a blue moon". These (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.au)
