  Re: Can we help?

(...) Bad form to reply to my own message, but judging from some replies to my posting, I can see that I didn't make myself clear in the original posting. What I meant to say was this: If LEGO moves production to China, expect an enormous amount of (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Can we help?

(...) Already happens. Sometimes people get unauthorized access to dealer catalogs (those which local stores use to order stock from), and other times people sneak photos at early toy shows that are not supposed to be open to the press (like the one (...)   Re: Can we help?

(...) A good observation! With production outside China, there are no leaks of set designs or copying of clone sets... (...) Another good observation! It was obviously a huge mistake to start producing those Hollywood films in China... Cheers Richie (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Can we help?

(...) Just a word of warning, and pointing out the obvious: If LEGO moves production to China, expect leaks of set designs, the copying of sets by clone bricks, etc. to happen on a regular basis. The legal department will have their hands full! Just (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Knight's co-pack $30 TRU special

(...) SNIP I got the same set, & though i wish the wall pieces were like the classic castle wall pieces, i'd say it's a decent set with good playability. when i built it i remembered this set: (URL) 6062 Battering Ram> & realized that this could be (...)   Re: Can we help?

(...) SNIP (...) Thank you for the quick response. If LEGO {does} move to china, Lego must make sure the workers are verifiably well treated & paid AND the facility is a safe, healthy place for them to work. Kinda like 'transparency' in operations.   History of 4679

This is probably a question for Jake, but there may be other sources of info. How did 4679 come to be? With its odd but very useful collection of additional bits, you have to buy quite a few just to make sure you get some of the different versions. (...)   Re: Why is it pushed back? Was:Burlington is being shipped (in Europe, that is)

(...) Simple: This isn't an exact science. We estimate our best guess and work hard to get things in place by those dates in order to get you goods as quickly as possible. Overall, our track record is that we typically ship on or often before the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)
