Ram,

First, just click on the "United States" on the left of the screen, and you'll
get all the stores in the US...and the stores are listed alphabetically by
state... Granted, the text on the right says "coming soon to Solomon Pond Mall,
etc...well, what you're not told on that main page is that Solomon Pond Mall is
in Marlborough, MA... however, if you click on the location "MA Marlborough", it
will tell you it's in Solomon Pond Mall...

I think that LEGO has been putting the stores on the website after they are
opened--this way, one can call or visit right away.  To put the information up
that a store is "Coming Soon", and then have to update it takes twice as much
manpower to do, probably with a staff that's pretty small--You did hear that
LEGO lost a lot of money last year right?  Usually when that happens, there are
layoffs everywhere in a company...besides, speaking from experience here...you
know how hard it is to get a store ready, employees hired and trained, product
delivered on time and stocked, and then have employees following correct
procedures?  Further, with roughly 7-8 stores opening a year, that means all
that stuff is even worse, because they have to keep it straight, on top of
managing their current stores...I can tell you those managers probably have a
lot on their plate, and putting a "coming soon" web page together is probably
the last thing on their minds....If I recall correctly, there are going to be 23
LEGO stores in the US by the end of this year...

Anyway, where are you traveling, I can tell you where there will be stores--check some of Jake's posts in the past about new store openings, or e-mail me at this address.   If you'll be in Massachusetts, NJ, NY, Virginia, Georgia, or Florida, you may have some luck...

Thanks for the detailed reply Scott! The problem is I am flying into Philadelphia and I am not sure which other places I will head to, atleast not yet. It will most definitely be NJ and NY. I guess it was convenience of having the information in one (...) (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)
