Why are most Lego hubcaps brightly colored? Most real hubcaps that I've seen
range from silver to grey. Maybe a bit of black or white, but rarely primary
colors. But it seems like about half of lego hubcaps are some wacky color. I
don't want to build clown cars, so I'm afraid this doesn't help me much.
Actually, a lot of lego stuff is a little too brightly colored for my taste.
That's why I like Star Wars and Adventurers sets - they have a nicely muted
color palette. This could be carried over to other themes, too: I see more grey
and tan buildings every day than bright blue, red, or yellow ones.

| Josh, While I build mainly in the Town System, I have to agree with you on one thing. That is some of the new colors are nicely muted. I especially like the tan color. It is a much more sympathetic color to build in than the bright ones. Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)
