Supply and demand?  If people are interested in buying them, and there
are few items available, it's only natural to see a high price point.


It's like stamp of coin collection, I suppose.  Stamps and coins which
are produced with some kind of mistake fetch a higher price.  (Ususally
if there is a series of items with consistent mistakes.)

Why on earth are you asking them to sell them for such INSANE prices? It's not as if regular bricks are cheap through bulk. You do realize those mottled bricks are "trash" as far as Lego is concerned, right? They either throw them out or grind them (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jun-02, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)
