  Re: Military Lego Sets

Amen! Amen! Amen! (...) YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! DEFINITELY! A Corsair! a Spitfire... wait, no, no spitfire! then mine won't sell! (shameless plug) p-51 b-17, b-25 and oh the list goes on!   Military Lego Sets

It’s very obvious that military Lego sets would sell like wild fire. I don’t think producing a M1A1 Abraham Tank set would promote violence or portray TLC as a evil corporation. It would drive sales, and continue to promote and spread Lego’s into (...) (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Double sided plate

(...) Perhaps especially since a certain rival named Ritvik has a 2x2 plate with studs on both sides.... John #388 (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Double sided plate

Dear Lego- While talking to some fellow AFOL about connecting two plates together flat side to flat side, I thought wouldn't just be great if Lego came out with a double sided plate. I bet people would go crazy for them, especialy the people in the (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Bulk Wish List

(...) That would be my fault. I stopped maintaining the page, despite the occasional requests I would get to update it. I'll start maintaining the page again, so if you have requests, please do mail them to me at catena@xnet.com :) (...) (URL) sorry (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) They could put the new-new stuff in the catalog, with blurbs like "Available September 1st!". Seems like they do that already, sometimes. But Maybe I've misremembering... Steve (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) No need to apologize, you make a good point. (...) My guess, and it is only that, is that since the catalog only comes out a limited number of times during the year, there are many products that are released "in between" catalog printings. (...)   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

This reply will probably sound much more snotty than I intend it to, so my most humble apologies in advance. I mean this as a serious commentary. (...) If they are new then, shouldn't they *definitely* be in the catalog? Isn't that the whole reason (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Sure enough they aren't. Which is why I got confused. My apologies. :) I think any brick that isn't overly-specialized is a nice brick. As I've said before and I will say again: LEGO = bricks (...) Why did the put the "less-LEGO-like" ones in (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I don't think that is the case. If anything, they may be too new to be in the catalog. I just started seeing them in stores a short while ago, and most stores near me still carry the whole line. Henry (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Ah... my mistake and my apologies. I made the assumption that because this thread started with a comment on the recent Shop At Home catalog that the dinosaurs were the ones in that book. (1371, 6719, 6720, 6721, 6722). I agree, the 7000-7003 (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I think Frank is referring to sets 7000-7003, the "young" dinosaur series. Other than the heads and tails, the bulk of the body is made up of bricks, mostly slope pieces. Henry (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) What Frank is talking about are the smaller Dinosaurs sets- (URL) mostly have bricks with a few dino specific pieces thrown in (like the neck, head and tail). Hope that helps, ~Nathan (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) It wasn't in the catalog, but if you check online, you will find a few small dinosaurs made from bricks. One has some nice parts to it too. (...) This encourages creativity? How? That was the original question. Jonathan D. (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Frank.... you must have gotten a different catalog than I did. I'm looking at the dinosaurs now and what I see are dinosaurs made out of LEGO pieces that are shaped to look like dinosaur parts. Not really LEGO "bricks" as such, but rather (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Guarded Inn

(...) They are pintos - palominoes are "blond" with even paler mane and tail. Lego could make me a set of off-color horses - Grey, chestnut (butterscotch), and Tan. They would be great. Off-color foliage would be nice, too. Sand green, lime green, (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: LEGO Store Stock?

(...) Yes that's been my experience as well, the stock fluctuates at the MOA LIC depending how recent their last shipment was and the how fast things are selling. What I do is this, if I see anything there I want, I buy it when I see it. It's likely (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: LEGO Store Stock?

(...) Unfortunately that's normal. AFAIK they've never had any of the newer LD bulk packs. They've had a smattering of the older service packs over the years, but never in much quantity or variety. As for train stuff, they are usually fairly well (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)
