Gee, I am no math wiz, but here goes: #3450 Statue of Liberty 2800 pcs. @ $199 USD = $0.07 USD an element #3451 Sopwith Camel 577 pcs. @ $49.99 USD = $0.09 USD an element #3724 Lego Dragon 1530 pcs. @ $99 USD = $0.06 USD an element #7127 (...) (...) Not true. I don't like Star Wars, and none of the sculptures are of any use to me. What can i do with a giant minifig or dragon or sopwith camel? Maybe if the dragon was menacing I could pass it off as some monument in a medieval town, or if (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) O.K. I think we agree here. You're saying the kids are going elsewhere in droves. You're saying Bionicle doesn't interest you. Is there a chance then that it doesn't interest the kids as well? Not quite true. I bought a very nice set of new LEGO wooden blocks in Billund last week. They come in a wooden box as well.   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Alright then, here's a bigger question. Do you consider the masks to be collectible items from Lego or do you think of them as 12 more building parts in semi random colors. I think of them in the second way. After all, if it can't be used in a (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

(...) And they have-- in droves. Themes like Bionicle are attempts to win them back. Guess what? I have not the *slightest* interest in Bionicle, but I'm not going to rail on it. And why should I? It's not intended for me. (...) Hence Bionicle. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) How do think TLC can do this? Make a Castle Kingdom for $50.00? Impossible. Kids buy lego because of its ability to create, and parents buy Lego because of its educational value. (...) Dan... if that makes you sad, just take a look at the style of buildings that LEGO used to put into their sets. I see that some people who gave their thoughts and opinions on this topic have mixed reviews- not a suprise. Everyone's opinions DO count, but it doesnt seem that way to Lego. I cant believe what Lego is doing to their toy line.
