Re: LEGO General/Harry Potter Rant (Was - Re: Harry Potter Creator box art)

(...) The entertainment industry has portrayed the good guys as young and handsome, while the bad guys are old, fat, ugly, ect. It has been ingrained into us from birth. Just check out those soap operas that women watch and you'll see. And the only (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Suggestions for future re-release LEGO items

(...) YEESSS!!! I don't know why I didn't think of this! :] I would add to it a request for service packs of the transparent pieces (mostly canopies and windows). By offering these and the printed pieces we could build pretty much any Classic Space (...) (23 years ago, 26-May-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Suggestions for future re-release LEGO items

Dear LEGO, I have a request in anticipation of the "classic" sets to be re-released through LEGO Shop At Home. If you will be considering Classic Space or Futuron, please do include the following items: Mini-figure sets for both themes Service pack (...) (23 years ago, 26-May-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Castle Armor Accessory Pack

(...) Another good point! But here is the one area where AFOL are VERY different than the average consumer -- we will actually pay such a price! The average consumer would buy only if the price was right. I think TLC could make up in quantity what (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Castle Armor Accessory Pack

Here are some calculations: The only difference between 5138 and 5059 is that 5138 has the 2 armors and one extra small shield. The difference in price between the two is 0.75 pounds, which converts to $1.07. So I'm guessing that Lego "values" the (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Castle Armor Accessory Pack

(...) This represent some erroneous thinking in my view, or at least it suggests an erroneous related conclusion -- err, something like that... If TLC were to sell these accessory packs only to vocal fans on Lugnet you would be undoubtedly correct (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Castle Armor Accessory Pack

(...) I wish it was that simple to think like that, but, the Lugnet fan club is still only 1-5% oif the whole Lego buying market. Sure, they would get a load of orders imediately, but, it would die off quickly. I mean really, how many minifigs do (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: FOTD, or maybe FOTW?... Plus some dark-ages theories

Way to go, Shiri! This sort of realistic, creative feedback is exactly what LEGO needs to hear. Because of the way this story came about, it shows a real-world example of the feelings folks have for their LEGO toys. I think you should print this out (...) I think I'll take you up on that, right now actually. ;-) (I am not expecting a reply from anyone, so this fits in dear-lego, but I still hope someone will be listening. Anyway, FUTs to dear-lego.)   Re: LEGO General/Harry Potter Rant (Was - Re: Harry Potter Creator box art)

(...) Although it's a bummer that the Hagrig head and hair are not minifig compatible, I think it's good that they are Creator fig scale, since Hagrid should be significantly larger. It will be a real bummer if Hagrid isn't a Creator Fig though. Of (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Well I am still unconvinced that this is going to result in an actual pirate ship in my hands. Whole theme came and went while I was reveling in my dark ages. (...) Remember Charlie Brown running at the football, just to have Lucy pull it away? "Aauuauuauruauuuauugggh!!!!" (Whomp) OK, I hate that Hagrid figure, if this is true. (...) Hagrid's body did look like a brick in the box art for the PC game, but look at the pic of Hagrid posted by Monica Wilbur a few posts back - note his arm - that's a Creator-fig arm (and yes, that means his head/hair/beard will be one big (...)
