What was the point of your post, Richard?  To make fun of Tim because he
didn't know that TLC wouldn't respond in a timely manner?  Or to take the
opportunity to take another shot at Brad?

I think it's pretty clear that I am not suggesting even one thing against Mr.
Coats.  I and a few others have asked the very question that Coats is asking
and received no replies at all.  Some people jumped all over me because they
thought my post some weeks back about the chrome sets was rude, but I am not
at all clear as to why I should post a simple request for information from
TLC/Brad framed in some ornate and excessively polite manner.  I might have
thought my post to be terse but not rude.  And if TLC/Brad doesn't even answer
a person's post, who then may be considered rude?

BTW, another poster seems to think that TLC "will" post replies in a timely
manner, but I have seen scant evidence of this and I see that you at least
imply that you don't think a timely reply is forthcoming either.  So then I
ask you: why do you defend this obvious rudeness on the part of TLC?

Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you don't have anything nice to
post, you shouldn't post at all?  Sarcasm isn't clever; just mean and uncivil.

Yeah, but then I'm not a catholic either...so what's your point?  I certainly
disagree with your attitude concerning sarcasm.  Perhaps it's not clever, but
mean and uncivil is to stretch it a bit.  And while it's true that one might
catch more flies with sugar, I still like to pour some vinegar into the
flybottle...

(...) But to what end? Does it really seem to you that Brad or TLC is more likely to respond to your acerbic tantrums than to a politely worded request for information? If in fact TLC is slow to respond in any case, does it seem probable that (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)
