(...) Done! I was used to Dejanews before I found my newsreader. Anytime you wanted to cancel messages there, it posted your cancellation message without any reference to content. (...) It's a fairly standard Usenet thing. It's also really easy to abuse -- it's easy to forge a cancel message for someone else's post. So a lot of servers are set to ignore them, which sorta makes the whole thing not work. Hopefully there will be (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Alas, I am unable to delete anything anyway. I would only be interested in deleting a too-strong flame (mine, not someone else's).
